Nowadays we are faced with a disruptive era, where it is marked by various aspects that move very quickly not only in the communications sector, banking, transportation, but also in the creative entrepreneurs. On the one side, disruption will give advantages, but it will also be a time bomb if the changes are not a good response on the other side. In the future, this disruptive era will be a challenge for the Indonesian economic development.

Disruptive economy is one of the revolutionary ways we shape the way we use products and services. One of the most observed aspect in the distruptive economy in Indonesia is the emergence of online transportation, online stores and others. Distruptive era is not only happening in Indonesia but also the world. Developed countries are running their economies online. This change leads to competition in business and many people are not ready to face this era. The problem is that the ability to change the paradigm of entrepreneurs to digital creative business, especially on small and medium enterprises (SME) in Indonesia still weak. This is not including the problems of government regulations, especially the regulation to manage the Information Technology sector. The disruptive era should be an interesting era to be well managed and benefitting many parties, especially small business entrepreneurs in order to compete and go international. For instance, online transportation could reduce unemployment rates in Indonesia.

The disruptive innovation is an innovation that helps create a new market, disrupts or destabilizes existing markets, and eventually diverts these earlier technologies. The disruptive innovation has developed products or services in an unexpected way of the market, through creating different types of consumers in new markets and decreasing prices in the old market.

The emergence of a disruptive innovation phenomenon has brought the world to change more than ever. Globalization, socialization channel, professional mobility, and upheaval among workers have been become uniform thus forcing the company to focus on the knowledge of workers. At this time, it was said that the crowds of bussiness were disrupted by globalization, technological change, and new competitors. They are forced to search their corporate identities (first). In fact in a healthy company, a commercial model innovation is essential to perpetuate a competitive position. The great problems that emerge from human life in an age of disorder can no longer be solved by a monodisciplinary approach. Therefore, what is needed now and in the future is a style of mindset, learning and disciplined research.

Earlier, the universities were only considered to be an educational institution. However, within a certain period of time, where the situation faced various problems and public awareness of its rights increased, the role of the university is widespread in various aspects of life. For that reason, a deeper understanding of what can be expected from the presence of a university, whether based on its historical development, current program, and what needs to be done in the future need to be present. The manifestation of the universe should not be separated from the life of society and the modern state, directly or not in addition to thinking and resolving the problems affecting the state; playing a role in realizing an opportunity so that it can not be denied that the higher learning institution is a state asset. To carry out its role, the university needs to get support from the state and society, both funds and politics, to its realization.

The role of the University is very important to develop the community. The community now entrusts the university as a higher education institution that still has the moral power to become the role model of society in the transformation towards global society. So, it can not be denied if the university has a very big role in empowering entrepreneurship in a distruptive era.

This disruption era is an era of transition that must be received with enthusiasm and optimism, the most important questions now are:

1. What are the opportunities available in the distruptive era? The ability to capture this opportunity will determine whether you will be “The Have” or “Super Have” (calm, no one will be “The Have Not” who are hungry or with less clothing, food, boards).
2. What do you need to prepare for the capture of these terrible opportunities? Provide yourself, your family and your company during the distruptive era ?
3. What side effects will happen, and how can we cope? we can not deny that there will be side effects that we need to expect. However, do not worry, people are always overcoming their challenges.

In order to address the problems that occurred in the global distruptive era for Indonesia to become bigger, let’s discuss it through the International Conference on Economics Management Accounting and Business (ICEMAB) Forum with the theme: “Economy creative indsutry through digitally entreprenuership and society, a new pradgim in the disruptive era” which will involve various countries in this program, so that we can change the paradigm in a disruptive era and be able to see the readiness of various countries in the facing of this disruptive era.
